A survey is a coherent group of products submitted to your customers or prospects to give their opinion on. Coherence allows customers to judge the product itself and not its category.
For instance, if you ask the opinion of your customer about 5 tee-shirts and one bra in the same survey, the risk you may have is that your customer could choose the bra according to a personal preference for this category of products and not to his preference for this specific one.
You may make a choice between a survey displaying all your products which permits to judge each one according to the whole context or several individual surveys which allow you to have an opinion for each specific product.
The best option is to create one survey by a combination of style and category, for example: romantic dress/preppy dress/sexy dress….or comfortable shoes/technical shoes/sexy shoes…. or romantic skirt/preppy skirt/sexy skirt and so on.
All pictures selected for your survey need to be uniform. That means they need to respect the same image code: with or without a model, never showing the head of the model (that could interfere with the choice of the customer), showing only the selected item (no accessories that could attract the attention of the customer), the same definition for all the selected pictures…
It needs to contain the information you consider as essential to appreciate it, for example: material (cotton, wool, and so on), technical qualities (stretch, breathable, reflective), creator’s name and so on.
The retail price is not mandatory. It should be showed only to a random part of the customers involved. It will permit to understand if there is a good perception of the added value of the product or not.
After creating your survey(s), you have to deliver it (them) to your customers or prospects.
If you already have a database of your customers email you can simply send a link via your newsletters. The response rate will be high and you will be sure to have the opinion of your actual customers.
If you don’t or if you want to collect the opinion of prospects, we advise you to use ads in the social media to send your survey. To have a high response rate the ads should show only one picture representing your brand image and not a specific product (in this specific case, a model is welcome). With the target tool of the social media you can specify your prospects cluster and localization.
As you can see, creating a survey is really simple and takes a few minutes. If you follow these tips you will get the best possible results with the power of our machine learning tool.
